As you already see, we finally have the first poster from their upcoming R.I.P.D. movie which says: to protect and serve the living. Funny thing, I thought their job was to help the dead ‘rest in peace'…
Robert Schwentke directs the movie from a script written by Matt Manfredi and Phil Hay, and as we previously reported, the whole thing is based on the Dark Horse mini-series of the same name.
R.I.P.D. will revolve around Reynold's character – a recently slain young cop who joins a team of undead police officers working for the Rest In Peace Department and tries to find the man who murdered him.
Jeff Bridges stars as his partner, a seasoned R.I.P.D. veteran, and the rest of the cast also includes Kevin Bacon, Stephanie Szostak, Mary-Louise Parker, Marisa Miller, Mike O'Malley, James Hong and Robert Knepper.
The movie is set to hit theaters on July 19th, 2013, and the good thing is that, according to the latest reports, the first trailer for R.I.P.D. arrives next weekend.
