Robert De Niro to Join Michael Douglas in LAST VEGAS

Fiona April 22, 2012 1 comment
Robert De Niro Last Vegas comedy is getting quite serious. All of the sudden we have these great rumors that Robert De Niro and Christopher Walken are in talks to join the cast of the CBS Films comedy which already has Michael Douglas on board. What could be more fun than that? Ok, I'm still hoping that Jack Nicholson will jump out of somewhere, but this cast looks awesome as well! So, as we already said, Last Vegas comes from Crazy, Stupid, Love scribe Dan Fogelman and will be directed by Jon Turteltaub, and what definitely sounds great is that they already describe this project as the Hangover with old people. The whole thing will center “on a quartet of retired boomers who are called upon for a Vegas bachelor party by their friend, a ladies man who is finally settling down and marrying a woman half his age.” Even if you missed our previous report, it's not hard to guess that Douglas is on board to play that ladies man who marries a woman half his age, right? And, as for the rest of the cast, De Niro would play Douglas' childhood friend, who falls for the same woman, while there's still no word about Walken's possible involvement. Production on Last Vegas should start this fall in Las Vegas. As usual, we'll be back with every new detail about the whole thing!

This sounds awesome! Michael Douglas is a really great actor, but he’s not even in the same league as De Niro, Walken, Nicholson, or even his own father the great Kirk Douglas. Still, this will be worth watching.
