Robert Pattinson (who is currently in Cannes) has confirmed that there will be a fourth film in the vampire series. He said the movie would be based on Stephenie Meyer‘s best-selling novel, “Breaking Dawn.”
He was currently in the final days of shooting the second film, “New Moon,” in Italy and would start third movie, “Eclipse,” in October. Pattinson said his role in “New Moon” had been beefed up compared to the book, in which Edward is simply “a voice in Bella’s head”.
“You’re playing a figment in Bella’s imagination so I was trying to do it in a 2D way. I hope it doesn’t translate onscreen as being boring,” said Pattinson, laughing.
In between Twilight films, Pattinson said he plans to star in “Remember Me,” a film about a man who spends six weeks working out whether he loves someone or not.
Because of his other movie commitments, there was no definitive start date for the fourth movie, Pattinson added.
