RUBY SPARKS Featurette

Fox Searchlight Pictures has sent over a new featurette  for Ruby Sparks, the follow-up feature for Little Miss Sunshine directors Valerie Faris and Jonathan Dayton. The film stars Paul Dano, Zoe Kazan, Antonio Banderas, Annette Bening, Steve Coogan, and Elliott Gould.

Here’s the official synopsis for the film:

Calvin (Dano) is a young novelist who achieved phenomenal success early in his career but is now struggling with his writing – as well as his romantic life. Finally, he makes a breakthrough and creates a character named Ruby who inspires him. When Calvin finds Ruby (Kazan), in the flesh, sitting on his couch about a week later, he is completely flabbergasted that his words have turned into a living, breathing person.

Kazan, who plays Ruby, also wrote the screenplay.

Ruby Sparks will be released to theaters on July 25th, 2012.
