Sarah Jessica Parker to Replace Demi Moore in LOVELACE

Sex and the City star Sarah Jessica Parker is to replace Demi Moore as feminist icon Gloria Steinem in the film Lovelace, about the pioneering porn star Linda Lovelace, just days after Moore was rushed to hospital for what her reps described as exhaustion. Spokesperson for the production told onTheRedCarpet.com in a yesterday’s statement:
Sarah Jessica Parker has been cast as Gloria Steinem in ‘Lovelace,’ opposite Amanda Seyfried and Peter Sarsgaard. Parker is replacing Demi Moore in the role of the iconic author and activist.
Howl directors Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman are at the helm on biopic which lined up a heavy-hitting cast including Amanda Seyfried as title character who gained fame for her starring role in the X-rated film Deep Throat, James Franco as Playboy magazine founder Hugh Hefner and Peter Sarsgaard as Lovelace’s notorious husband, Chuck Traynor. The film, which has begun shooting in Los Angeles since December 2011, also stars Sharon Stone as Lovelace’s mother and Adam Brody as Deep Throat costar Harry Reems as well as Robert Patrick as her father, Hank Azaria as the director of Deep Throat, Cory Hardrict as radio DJ Frankie Crocker, Eric Roberts as a lie detector expert, Wes Bentley as Lovelace’s second husband Larry Marchiano, Chloe Sevigny, who will play Rebecca, a feminist journalist, Chris Noth, who played her love interest Mr. Big in the HBO series Sex and the City and its film adaptations and Juno Temple as her best friend, of course. Parker, who officially signed on to the project on Friday, January 27, is due to start shooting on Monday in New York City. She  last appeared on the big screen in New Year’s Eve, as well as in the comedy I Don’t Know How She Does It.
