SAW 8 In Development At Lionsgate
Lionsgate has reportedly begun actively developing an eighth film in the franchise launched by the original horror film from James Wan and Leigh Wannell.
The report says the studio is seeking a new direction for the franchise, but aren't rushing to meet a date. Furthermore, the plan is to continue with Saw 8, rather than start all over again. Hopefully this reboot will set up a new series of compelling movies.
The last time we saw Jigsaw and his infinite number of survivors was in the 2010 Saw 3D, which was the first film in the series to be a box-office disappointment. Whatsoever, the eighth installment in the money-spinning horror franchise is ‘incredibly active'.
There's no actual date or director attached at the moment. We'll see what happens beyond that. I'll be patiently waiting until they have ‘the perfect take to move forward'. How about you?
Check out the trailer for the latest in the Saw series.
Meanwhile, the guys over at CinemaSins released ‘Everything Wrong With Saw in 8 Minutes or Less' in time for Halloween. Watch it below.
