I'm sure you already know, but we will once again remind you that Shonda Rhimes stands behind this political drama show, which was renewed for a third season on May 10th, 2013. And just in case you forgot – the show returns on October 3rd, 2013 at 10 p.m.
When we last saw Olivia Pope, her secret had come out. The press knows that she was Fitz's mistress and she's escorted into a limo where the head of secret/scary spy ring B613 (who's also her DAD!) was waiting for her.
What to expect from a third season?
Well, according to Rhimes, President Fitzgerald Grant's re-election will likely be on the menu for season three. Or, as she said:
“We're going to head in that direction, but I don't know if we're going to get there in the first half of the season. It's a big deal. We're at the timeline where that starts to be an issue.”
