Lionsgate has released a new trailer for supernatural thriller “Season of the Witch” opening in theaters on March 19. 2010.
Season of the Witch stars Nicolas Cage as, “a 14th century Crusader who returns with his comrade to a homeland devastated by the Black Plague. A beleaguered church, deeming sorcery the culprit of the plague, commands the two knights to transport an accused witch to a remote abbey, where monks will perform a ritual in hopes of ending the pestilence.”
“Season of the Witch” is directed by Dominic Sena, who’s worked with Cage before on the remake of Gone In 60 Seconds and is written by Threshold creator/writer, Bragi F. Schut. Also stars Ron Perlman, Stephen Campbell Moore, Robert Sheehan, Claire Foy, Ulrich Thomsen, Stephen Graham and Christopher Lee.
