New Character Poster For SEVENTH SON Is All About Alicia Vikander

Seventh Son

We already shared one pretty cool character poster with Jeff Bridges, then we had another poster with Kit Harington, now head inside to check out lovely Alicia Vikander who, in case you forgot – also stars in the upcoming Seventh Son.

And, do we really have to remind you that we’re talking about Sergei Bodrov‘s adaptation of Joseph Delaney‘s children’s dark fantasy novel series The Wardstone Chronicles titled The Spook’s Apprentice?

After all, we already have the trailer for the whole thing so you better check it out.

In the meanwhile, let us just repeat that the film revolves around 14-year-old Tom Ward, played by Ben Barnes, a seventh son of a seventh son, and his adventures as the apprentice of the Spook.

The story is set in a time long past, an evil is about to be unleashed and will reignite the war between the forces of the supernatural and humankind once more.

Master Gregory is a knight who had imprisoned the malevolently powerful witch, Mother Malkin, centuries ago. But now she has escaped and is seeking vengeance. Summoning her followers of every incarnation, Mother Malkin is preparing to unleash her terrible wrath on an unsuspecting world. Only one thing stands in her way: Master Gregory. Now he has only until the next full moon to do what usually takes years: train his new apprentice, Tom Ward to fight a dark magic unlike any other.

Beside Barnes, and Vikander (who stars as Alice Deane, a witch and later Tom’s closest friend), the rest of the cast also includes Jeff Bridges as Master Gregory, Julianne Moore as Mother Malkin, Kit Harington as Billy Bradley, Olivia Williams and Antje Traue.

The Seventh Son is set to hit theaters on January 17th, 2014.
