The movie follows a true crime novelist (Ethan Hawke) who moves his family into a house in which a vicious murder took place, in order to carry out research for his next story.
After he finds a box of home videos which involve other families being brutally murdered, he begins to fear that his own family are under threat.
Aside from Hawke, it also stars Blake Mizrahi, Cameron Ocasio, Clare Foley, Danielle Kotch, Ethan Haberfield, Fred Dalton Thompson, James Ransone, Juliet Rylance, Michael Hall D'Addario, Nicholas King, Rachel Konstantin, Victoria Leigh, and Vincent D'Onofrio
Sinister, from the producer of the Paranormal Activity films Jason Blum, and the writer-director of The Exorcism of Emily Rose Scott Derrickson, is out October 12th, 2012.
