SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN Sequel Moves Forward
Yes, it's confirmed – Snow White and the Huntsman story is getting a sequel!
And it looks that folks from Universal are quite serious about the whole thing, so we won't have to wait too long – that's for sure.
They already have David Koepp on board to write the script for the sequel, and as we learned, they are currently in some serious negotiations with director Rupert Sanders about the possible return.
According to Deadline, Sanders is definitely interested in directing the sequel. They also add that, unlike most first time directors, Sanders doesn't have to come back, because “Snow White and the Huntsman” was sold in an auction by CAA that included a presentation by Sanders of how he was going to shoot the film.
Director and the producer Joe Roth were part of the package, and that gave the agency leverage to make a much better deal than a first timer usually gets.
On the other hand, some other reports say that the stars of the previous movie – Kristen Stewart and Chris Hemsworth are also interested to return for the second part of the fairy-tale, while Charlize Theron‘s evil queen won't be back.
If true, that means we'll have to wait and see who will have an honor to portray a new villain.
We'll definitely keep an eye on this project, and in the meanwhile – let us know what you think about Snow White and the Huntsman sequel.
