Here's a sweet Hall H video showcasing a first look at
Jamie Foxx as
Electro in
The Amazing Spider-Man 2.
Check out below of what will be shown inside the panel for the Spidey sequel that will take place in the San Diego Comic-Con on Friday, July 19 at 4:05 p.m.
With a menacing voiceover (are voiceovers in these trailers ever not ‘menacing'?) and some sweeping shots across the equipment in the lab of Max Dillon, there's the first time we've seen the electricity-powered bad guy, played by Foxx, in action.
The high-voltage supervillain known as Electro is originally Maxwell Dillion who got the powers from some freak accident where got struck by lightening and he gets mutated into a living electrical capacitor with the ability to control electricity.
As Fox mentioned they were going with something a little more futuristic and this looks pretty cool to me.
Foxx's Electro will no doubt be a big part of the Friday panel along with director
Marc Webb, Spider-Man star
Andrew Garfield, and his old friend, Harry Osborn played by
Dane DeHaan.
Watch the Electro teaser for
The Amazing Spider-Man 2, hitting theaters May 2nd, 2014.
