THE COMPANY YOU KEEP: Poster & 15 New Images!

Jeanne Standal December 23, 2012 1 comment
THE COMPANY YOU KEEP Some reviews say that The Company You Keep is worth our full attention, some say it sucks, but who cares – we're here to share the first poster for the whole thing and to add 15 more photos to our little gallery. Make sure you check out director (and star) Robert Redford and his leading cast (which looks great), and don't forget to let us know what you think about this political action thriller so far! THE COMPANY YOU KEEP Image 01 So, as we previously reported, Redford directed the whole thing from a script written by Lem Dobbs which is based on the 2003 novel of the same name by Neil Gordon. It centers on a former member of the activist/terrorist organization the Weather Underground who becomes a fugitive when his true identity is exposed by an aggressive young reporter. THE COMPANY YOU KEEP Image 02 As you probably know, Robert Redford plays the above mentioned former Weather Underground militant, while the aggressive young reporter is Shia LaBeouf. The rest of the cast includes Julie Christie, Richard Jenkins, Susan Sarandon, Stephen Root, Sam Elliott, Brendan Gleeson, Terrence Howard, Anna Kendrick and Jackie Evancho. Jim Grant is a civil rights lawyer and single father who leads a normal life. Or so he would have you believe. Grant is a former militant and 1970s fugitive wanted for bank robbery and murder. He has been hiding from the FBI for over thirty years posing as an attorney. When Grant's identity is discovered and exposed by an aggressive young reporter, Grant begins a cross-country journey determined to find the one person who can clear his name before the FBI can catch him.
THE COMPANY YOU KEEP Image 04 The movie premiered this September at the 69th Venice International Film Festival and then played at the Toronto International Film Festival. The Company You Keep will open in limited theaters in New York and Los Angeles on April 5th, 2013. Click on the images for a better look, and stay tuned for more updates! I just cannot wait to see this one! Love the cast, especially the opportunity to see Julie Christie paired with another Icon like Redford! I think the film won’t disappoint those looking for a dense drama with lots of character development, and, a more in depth, insightful style, while, maybe the fans of fast paced thrillers with plenty of SFX, maybe i little disappointed.. Maybe..
I believe that this film has all the elements to become a never less than compelling portrait of our society, its amorality, its mistakes, but also, its greatness and its greater ideals, just available to all of those willing to open their minds and put some thought into Arts, History and good, classic Filmmaking!
    Great new pictures: i enjoyed!
