I'm sure you already know that The Impossible movie is actually one family's true story of survival, but I'm also sure that you know this drama has an awesome cast on board. Directed by J. A. Bayona, the movie stars Naomi Watts and Ewan McGregor, and as you see from our title, today we have two great video interviews with them, as well as another international (well, read – russian) trailer for the whole thing, so make sure you check it all out!
Sergio G. Sanchez stands behind the script which is based on the true story of one family's survival of the 2004 tsunami. Beside great Watts and McGregor, The Impossible also stars Tom Holland, Samuel Joslin and Oaklee Pendergast, and as we reported earlier – Summit will release the movie on December 21st, 2012.
Watts stars as Maria who, together with her husband Henry (McGregor) and their three sons begins their winter vacation in Thailand. True tropical paradise, indeed. But on the morning of December 26th, as our dear family relaxes around the pool – a terrifying roar rises up from the center of the earth. We all guess the rest of the story, right?
So, it's safe to say that The Impossible is Bayona's powerful account of a family caught, with tens of thousands of strangers, in the mayhem of one of the worst natural catastrophes of our time.
Compassion? Courage? Maria and her family will encounter all that during the darkest hours of their lives.
Maybe that's why they already say this movie is a journey to the core of the human heart?
