Anna Kendrick and Jeremy Jordan are shiny happy people in these first set photos from their upcoming The Last Five Years movie. As you already know, the whole thing is an adaptation of Jason Robert Brown‘s acclaimed musical of the same name, director Richard LaGravenese is in charge, and… well, so far – so good. Take a look!
We will once again remind you that the movie is a deconstruction of the love affair and marriage of a struggling actress named Cathy Hiatt (aka Kendrick), and a rising novelist named Jamie Wellerstein (played by Jordan).
Told through emotionally powerful and comic songs from their individual perspectives, the movie chronicles the five-year life of a marriage, from meeting to break-up…or from break-up to meeting, depending on how you look at it.In other words – this is a musical film where the songs take us on a deeply moving and unique telling of a love story.
