Direct sequel to Tobe Hooper's original film, arrives from director John Luessenhop (Takers) and from a screenplay by Adam Marcus, Debra Sullivan and Kirsten Elms.
The film will continue the story from Tobe Hooper's 1973 original, picking up the character of Leatherface decades later with a cast that includes Dan Yeager, John Dugan, Bill Moseley, Alexandra Daddario, Sue Rock, Tania Raymonde, Scott Eastwood, Gunnar Hansen, Tobe Hooper, Paul Rae, Keram Malicki-Sánchez, Ritchie Montgomery, Trey Songz, Marilyn Burns, Shaun Sipos, Thom Barry and Richard Riehle.
Texas Chainsaw 3D will open on October 5, 2012, about three weeks before 3-D horror sequel Halloween 3D, which received its October 26, 2012, release date.
