Superman's willing to come out – the first TV commercial for Man of Steel aired Monday night, during the first NCAA basketball championship game. The new Superman reboot starring Henry Cavill, edges a little closer.
Is the world ready for another super hero/action flick? Well, we'll find out on release day in just two months from now.
TV spot doesn't really contain any new footage that we haven't seen before – Man of Steel crew are being generally very stingy with new footage.
The bit of the synopsis that could easily apply to Richard Donner's original Superman film too, says:
A young boy learns that he has extraordinary powers and is not of this Earth. As a young man he journeys to discover where he came from and what he was sent here to do. But the hero in him must emerge if he is to save the world from annihilation and become the symbol of hope for all mankind.
Zack Snyder directed new Supe with a script from David S. Goyer and Christopher Nolan who also produced the film. Amy Adams, Kevin Costner, Diane Lane, Michael Shannon, Laurence Fishburne, Antje Traue, Ayelet Zurer, and Russell Crowe also star.
