Uma Thurman has nothing to do with
Marilyn Monroe.
Really, guys, you should be more careful about this
cast-roles things, it's not like it's enough for you to be blonde and you're perfect choice for legendary Monroe.
But, thank God, we're talking about that
Smash musical drama which will air Mondays at 10 p.m. on NBC (it's not like we'll need to pay the ticket to see this shit!).
So, Thurman will star in a five episode arc on the show as Rebecca Duvall, Hollywood starlet recruited to play Marilyn Monroe in the Broadway musical at the center of the series. And yes, in case you are interested – she will sing.

Executive producers Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman penned a song,
Dig Deep, specifically for Thurman, and according to them – “she had a bit of a shock between movies and television”. That's why they worked extensively with actress at their home studio so she could master the song in just two days.
