The sports biopic genre has a new addition, and this one is packed with heart, grit, and determination. Amazon MGM Studios and Prime Video have just released a teaser poster for UNSTOPPABLE, the much-anticipated film about Anthony Robles, a wrestler born with one leg who defied all odds to become an NCAA Champion. Set to hit select UK cinemas this December, and with a Prime Video release soon after, this film promises to deliver one of the most inspirational stories of the year.

Directed by Academy Award-winning editor William Goldenberg (Argo), making his directorial debut, UNSTOPPABLE tells Robles' journey of perseverance. Goldenberg, known for his precision in editing, brings a dynamic vision to this project. The screenplay, penned by Eric Champnella, Alex Harris, and John Hindman, is based on the book co-authored by Robles and Austin Murphy. Leading the cast is Jharrel Jerome, playing the role of Robles, alongside stars like Jennifer Lopez, Bobby Cannavale, Michael Peña, and Don Cheadle.

The film takes an up-close look at Robles' unwavering dedication, driven by the support of his mother, Judy (Lopez), and his coaches. Training relentlessly for months, Jerome worked closely with Robles himself—credited as the ‘Anthony Robles Double' for performing wrestling stunts in the film. This authentic collaboration shines through, making Jerome's portrayal all the more compelling.

Produced by Ben Affleck and Matt Damon's Artists Equity, the film ensures accessibility on set, employing coordinators from IndieVisible, ensuring a safe and productive working environment.

UNSTOPPABLE is set for its World Premiere at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival, and it's bound to resonate with viewers. This isn't just a sports film—it's a story of hope, resilience, and overcoming impossible odds. Get ready to be inspired.
