An all-new international trailer for Dutch photographer and director Anton Corbijn‘s third film, A Most Wanted Man has come online, starring Philip Seymour Hoffman, Rachel McAdams, Robin Wright and Daniel Brühl.
Shot in the fall of 2012, this political thriller is set to premiere at Sundance later this month and then get a US release from Lionsgate.
The film is based on the 2008 John le Carre novel of the same name, and centers on a bizarre love triangle among a half-starved Chechen-Russian immigrant (Grigoriy Dobrygin) secreted into Hamburg, an idealistic German civil rights lawyer (McAdams), and a sixty-year-old man who is inheriting a failing British bank. A former Chechen prisoner travels to the city’s Islamic community to claim an inheritance from his late father, but the source of his pop’s money is a little shady, and the US and German governments are watching.
Oscar winner Hoffman portrays a German security official who harbors serious suspicions about the situation.
A Most Wanted Man has been adapted for the big screen by Andrew Bovell and Willem Dafoe, Martin Wuttke, Nina Hoss, and Kostja Ullmann are among the supporting cast.
