A bold new vision of an epic story of love, Joe Wright‘s highly anticipated Anna Karenina has its first poster, which finds our two leads in a loving embrace.
Having already taken Atonement and Pride and Prejudice from page to screen, Wright is back at it again with another period piece that is adapted from the Leo Tolstoy novel of the same name. The film will also act as his third effort, director's muse, Keira Knightley.
Co-starring Jude Law, Aaron Johnson, Kelly Macdonald, Olivia Williams, Ruth Wilson, Alicia Vikander, Domhnall Gleeson and Holliday Grainger, Anna Karenina comes to theaters November 16th, 2012.
Oscar-winning screenwriter Tom Stoppard (Brazil, Shakespeare in Love) has penned the script; set in Russian high society in the late 19th century the storyline follows the aristocrat Karenina, played by Knightley, as she enters into a life-changing affair with Count Vronsky, played by Johnson.
Law plays Karenina's husband, Alexei Karenin.
The official poster artwork has debuted online, giving us a beautiful look at Knightley front and centre with Johnson, surrounded by Law, Vikander, and Gleeson.
