This trailer for Disney's long-awaited Western
The Lone Ranger puts
Armie Hammer's masked man and
Johnny Depp's Tonto front and center and is one minute longer than the first one
released in October.
The latest collaboration between Depp and director
Gore Vebrinski really could go either way. Whatever happens, it's hard to deny that a new trailer looks amazing with crème de la crème of slow-motion destruction alongside top hats and petty coats.
The movie began production in February after months of off-again on-again drama over the project's budget. Verbinski and producer
Jerry Bruckheimer have turned in a revised budget that is in the $215M range.
The Lone Ranger is set to hit theaters on July 3rd, 2013, also starring
Tom Wilkinson, William Fichtner, James Badge Dale, Ruth Wilson and
Helena Bonham Carter.
In the new clip, Tonto (Depp) has told the Lone Ranger (Hammer):
Eight men rode into Canyon. I dug seven graves. The horse says you are a spirit walker. A man who has been to the other side and returned. A man who cannot be killed in battle. Something very wrong with that horse.
