Hm, Vanessa Hudgens‘ stripper character is featured pole dancing (above) in the first trailer for the upcoming thriller The Frozen Ground.
She stars along Nicolas Cage and John Cusack as the leading trio and this early cut of the trailer is a great introduction to the thriller rather chillingly based on a real-life events.
Scott Walker makes his feature debut, directing from his own script, with 50 Cent, Dean Norris, Radha Mitchell, Jodi Lyn O'Keefe, and Katherine LaNasa also in the cast.
The most notorious hunter and killer in Alaska named Robert Hansen (Cusack) who stalked or killed between 17 and 21 young women taking them out to the wilderness to turn them loose and hunt them; Cage plays Alaskan detective Glenn Flothe who sets out to end the murderous rampage.
Hudgens (Disney's High School Musical) takes the role of Cindy Paulson, a seventeen -year-old escapee from the killer who reveals key information about the case and teams up with Flothe to trail the killer. However, she finds herself, once again, fighting for her life.
Frozen Ground will be reportedly released in the US on December 1st, 2012.
Most recently Hudgens wrapped lead roles in two features including Zak Penn's Sucker Punch and Harmony Korine's Spring Breakers, with Robert Rodriguez's Machete Kills on the horizon.
