Watch: Trailer For FAMILY WEEKEND, Starring Kristin Chenoweth
A first trailer for Kristin Chenoweth new dramedy Family Weekend has debuted online, following her noticeable performance at the Oscars last weekend. Benjamin Epps-directed comedy, starring Chenoweth as a career-driven mother, is about a teen who takes her parents hostage for the weekend.
Along with her carefree artist husband (Matthew Modine) they have been neglectful of their 16-year-old overachieving daughter, played by High School Musical's Olesya Rulin. With the help of her siblings (Eddie Hassell and Joey King), they take their parents hostage in hopes to bring them all together again.
Penned by Matt K. Turner, the Election meets House Arrest dramedy hits limited theaters on March 29th, 2013.
Besides a huge entrance on the red carpet at the 2013 Academy Awards, Chenoweth was most recently seen in Hit and Run, although her best work is reserved for Broadway than the silver screen.
