Kevin Hart are going to take an idea from Spike Lee's 25th Hour and turn it into a comedy.
Two funnymen have both signed on to star in the upcoming comedy
Get Hard for Warner Bros and that's the truth.
More precisely, the studio is currently in talks to acquire the new comedy Get Hard, which comes with stars Ferrell and Hart already attached. The script for a starring vehicle for the aforementioned comedians will be written by
Ian Roberts and
Jay Martel, best known for being the showrunners on Comedy Central's Key & Peele.
Ferrell will reportedly play a rich, soft-handed investment bank manager sentenced to a maximum security prison for a crime he didn't commit, who hires the streetwise guy (Hart) who normally washes his car to get him ready to do hard time in the 30 days before he has to report to prison.
There is currently no suggested release date attache.
Ferrell will next be seen in Shawn Levy's The Internship, which arrives in theaters June 7, 2013 and is currently working on the upcoming Lego movie and Anchorman: The Legend Continues. Hart is currently filming Ride Along with Ice Cube and has the About Last Night remake, Nick Cannon's School Dance, and Rogen/Goldberg's The End of the World out next year.
As for Key & Peele, the sketch comedy series, which has a fan in President Obama, will return in fall 2013 with 13 episodes.
