Closed Circuit

From the producers of the awesome Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy comes the new international thriller, Closed Circuit.

A large part of the film features a look at terrorism, following a mysterious explosion in a busy London market. The police swoop, a suspect is detained, and the country prepares for one of the most high-profile trials in British history.

Two exceptional lawyers with a romantic history step into a dangerous web of secrets and lies, and when evidence points to a possible British Secret Service cover up, it's not just their reputations, but their lives that are at stake.

Directed by John Crowley, the movie also features Rebecca Hall and Ciaran Hinds in addition to Eric Bana. Riz Ahmed, Anne-Marie Duff, Kenneth Cranham, Denis Moschitto, Julia Stiles and Jim Broadbent co-stars.

The upcoming thriller opens in theaters on August 23rd, 2013.

One of our lucky readers will win a Closed Circuit prize pack provided by Focus Features. The pack includes:

  • $25 Visa to see Closed Circuit in theatres
  • Focus Features DVD set: Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy and The Debt

I don’t think that many people saw ‘Chopper’ so I wouldn’t say that made him ‘famous’.

I’d have to go with his portrayal of ‘Hoot’ in Ridley Scott’s ‘Black Hawk Down’ in 2001 as his break-out film.

My own favorite is the renegade Romulan ‘Nero’ in ‘Star Trek’ in 2009.

Eric Bana probably became on the radar in America and worldwide for his portrayal of Mark “Chopper” Read in the movie “Chopper” in 2000.

I’d say Munich. Probably not correct, but that’s the first film I can recall him in :)
