Official LES MISERABLES Synopsis

So, these days we’re all talking about that Les Miserables adaptation, hm?

We’re all curious about the final cast list, but we’re all keeping an eye on the fresh rumors, just in case director Tom Hooper goes really mad and really casts Taylor Swift, for example!

But don’t worry, today I’m here to share the official synopsis part with you, and to inform you that, at this very moment, the official cast list includes only previously announced Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe, Anne Hathaway and Eddie Redmayne.

And, when it comes to that official synopsis part, here we go:

Set against the backdrop of 19th-century France, “Les Misérables” tells an enthralling story of broken dreams and unrequited love, passion, sacrifice and redemption–a timeless testament to the survival of the human spirit. Jackman plays ex-prisoner Jean Valjean, hunted for decades by the ruthless policeman Javert (Crowe) after he breaks parole. When Valjean agrees to care for factory worker Fantine’s (Hathaway) young daughter, Cosette, their lives change forever.

Based on the novel by Victor Hugo and from a screenplay written by William Nicholson, Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schönberg, Les Miserables musical epic is set to open on December 7th, 2012!
