THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN – PART 1 Passes $700 Million Globally
Summit Entertainment, a LIONSGATE® company, announced today that the fourth installment in the blockbuster TWILIGHT SAGA franchise – The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 has grossed an estimated $701.3 million in global box office receipts since the film’s release on November 18, 2011. The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 is on its way to becoming the highest grossing film in the series to date looking to surpass the worldwide box office gross of The Twilight Saga: New Moon which tallied $709.8 million. The two other two films in the franchise The Twilight Saga: Eclipse and Twilight have each grossed $698.5 million and $390.4 respectively and the franchise continues to break records. Upcoming releases of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 internationally include Japan and China.

First TV Spots and New International Banner for BREAKING DAWN
Today we have two new TV spots and international banner for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1.
In Part 1, Bella (Kristen Stewart) and Edward (Robert Pattinson), plus those they love, must deal with the chain of consequences brought on by a marriage, honeymoon, and the tumultuous birth of a child… which brings an unforeseen and shocking development for Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner).

Melissa Rosenberg to Write Highlander Remake
Twilight writer Melissa Rosenberg will take over Summit’s Highlander script, and that’s the big news for today!
Surprise or not, but a remake of the 1986 classic (with Christopher Lambert in the leading role), which Summit announced almost three years ago, is now in her hands..
Justin Lin is on board to direct the film, while Neal Mortiz is in charge for producing the remake alongside Peter Davis, who produced the original. So, they make great team after all.
Maggie Grace Joins Twilight: Breaking Dawn Cast
Maggie Grace (Taken, Lost) has joined the cast of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn. Grace, will play the role of Irina, a new vampire threat to Kristen Stewart’s Bella in the final installments of the Stephenie Meyer novel, which director Bill Condon is directing in two separate films.

Irina is a member of the Denali coven, considered cousins to the Cullen clan as the only other “vegetarian” vampire group. When Irina blames the Cullens for the death of her lover, her actions set in motion a terrifying chain of events.
Breaking Dawn: Part 2 Gets Release Date!
The release date for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 has been set at November 16, 2012 which is a full year after The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 hits theaters (Nov. 18, 2011).
Summit Entertainment has recently confirmed that Academy Award winner Bill Condon (Gods and Monsters, Chicago, Kinsey, Dreamgirls) will direct The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, based on the fourth novel in author Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight series.
The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn is currently being written by Melissa Rosenberg, Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner all return as the stars, with Billy Burke as Charlie Swan, Peter Facinelli as Carlisle, Elizabeth Reaser as Esme, Jackson Rathbone as Jasper, Nikki Reed as Rosalie, Ashley Greene as Alice and Kellan Lutz as Emmett also back for the final two instalments. Stephenie Meyer will produce the project.
New Eclipse Posters and Clips
Today, only two days until the world premiere at the LA Film Festival, three new international quad posters and three clips from Eclipse have been released.
In Twilight Saga: Eclipse, Bella once again finds herself surrounded by danger as Seattle is ravaged by a string of mysterious killings and a malicious vampire continues her quest for revenge. Summit Confirms Breaking Dawn in Two Parts
Summit Entertainment has issued an official announcement to confirm that the final chapter of Twilight film series Breaking Dawn will be split into two parts.
The first part of the two is slated to hit U.S. theaters on November 18, 2011 while the release date for the second one has not been determined yet.
