As much as “Legion” looks great, filled with all sorts of interesting visual ideas, not all of them fully work – the possessed humans themselves are kind of lame, which doesn’t help matters since for many, they’re the biggest selling point…read more [ComingSoon]

So, the first official poster for the upcoming horror/action movie featuring Paul Bettany as the Archangel Michael holding a knife and a machinegun – armed and angelic, has been unveiled. Stewart had a great way to describe the movie: “Angels with machineguns.” Take a look at the poster below.
After a terrifying biblical apocalypse descends upon the world, the Archangel Michael is the only one standing between mankind and an apocalypse, after God loses faith in humanity. Michael, along with some humans in a diner in the middle of nowhere, has to protect the messiah growing inside one of the diner’s waitress.
Scott Stewart, a former special effects man, brought along an extended trailer for the movie, the first ever footage of “Legion” anywhere.
…We see Paul Bettany’s Archangel Michael in silhouette, his wings furled behind his back. Cut to Michael in the rain, screaming as he cuts off his wings with a knife. Blood pools in the rain and a runed silver collar falls to the floor. As he leaves he’s confronted by a pair of cops who try to stop him. Bad ass angel that he is, he takes them out with barrels blazing. Afterwards one of the officers is still standing, his eyes turn black and his teeth sharpen. It’s another angel who threatens Michael, “you can’t protect the child.” it says.
…Inside the diner, a heavily pregnant waitress serves coffee while Dennis Quaid stands by the counter. As the waitress pours for an elderly lady she’s asked when her baby’s due. Soon, she says. “That’s too bad, your fucking baby’s going to burn!”
