Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) and her fashion-conscious gal pals are back, and they’re taking the girl-power hi-jinks to a whole new level. First things first, though: the gay, gay, gay wedding of bestest friends Anthony Marantino (Mario Cantone) and Stanford Blatch (Willie Garson), where chorus boys sing ‘Sunrise, Sunset’, swans frolic among the guests, and Liza Minnelli officiates. Anyone who likes “Sex and the City” for the clothes will be in heaven here. If Patricia Field actually had a $10 million costume budget, you can see where every dollar went; the women change in practically every scene, going from one gorgeously inappropriate ensemble to the next. Carrie’s outfits are especially outlandish; in 10 years, in “Sex and the City 12,” there will surely be a flashback to the crazy getup she chooses for a jaunt to the spice bazaar where she meets a romantic figure from her past. With the World Cup starts on June 11th, Warner Bros. has released two new soccer-themed international posters for Sex and the City 2 featuring a female foot in a high heel deflating a ball.

Michael Patrick King ’s new movie Sex and the City 2 hits theaters on May 27th, and Warner Brothers has begun airing clips for the film.
Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda take another bite out of the Big Apple in the sequel to the 2008 blockbuster. Returning in their starring roles, as the four great friends are Sarah Jessica Parker,Kim Cattrall , Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon. Of course, where would these women be without their men? Also back for the much-anticipated sequel are Chris Noth as Mr. Big, David Eigenberg as Steve, Evan Handler as Harry, Jason Lewis as Smith, Mario Cantone as Anthony and Willie Garson as Stanford Blatch. Miley Cyrus and Penelope Cruz also have a brief cameo in the film.

Little has been given away about the plotline, but the film will definitely include a wedding and perhaps a baby for an unlikely mother.

SATC2 is both written and directed by Michael Patrick King, who previously wrote, produced, and directed last year’s “Sex and the City.”
