OUR IDIOT BROTHER Banned TV Spot and Restricted Trailer #3
The Weinstein Company announced today that ABC has refused to broadcast the commercial spot for its new comedy Our Idiot Brother, unless TWC makes specified cuts. The ad is already airing in its current form on other broadcast and cable networks. The action has prompted TWC to cut a new red band trailer for the film.

A Slew of A-listed Thesps Added to Meta-comedy He Loves Me
Good news! Charlie Kaufman-esque rich, archly funny meta-comedy He Loves Me has begun filming in Los Angeles. Bona Fide Productions and Fox Searchlight Pictures officially announced a slew of A-listed thesps to star in the new dramatic comedy opposite leads Paul Dano and Zoey Kazan – Antonio Banderas, Steve Coogan, Elliot Gould, Chris Messina, Deborah Ann Woll and previously attached Annette Bening. In addition, The Daily Show veteran Aasif Mandvi is in talks to join the cast as well.

Today a new poster and 19 hi-res photos from Our Idiot Brother movie have been released.
Synopsis:
Every family has one: the sibling who is always just a little bit behind the curve when it comes to getting his life together. For sisters Liz (Emily Mortimer), Miranda (Elizabeth Banks) and Natalie (Zooey Deschanel), that person is their perennially upbeat brother Ned (Paul Rudd), an erstwhile organic farmer whose willingness to rely on the honesty of mankind is a less-than-optimum strategy for a tidy, trouble-free existence. Ned may be utterly lacking in common sense, but he is their brother and so, after his girlfriend dumps him and boots him off the farm, his sisters once again come to his rescue. As Liz, Miranda and Natalie each take a turn at housing Ned, their brother’s unfailing commitment to honesty creates more than a few messes in their comfortable routines. But as each of their lives begins to unravel, Ned’s family comes to realize that maybe, in believing and trusting the people around him; Ned isn’t such an idiot after all.

The comedy starring Paul Rudd, Elizabeth Banks, Zooey Deschanel, Emily Mortimer, Rashida Jones, Hugh Dancy, Kathryn Hahn, Shirley Knight, Janet Montgomery and Steve Coogan.

Good Vibrations update! Steve Coogan, Bronagh Gallagher and Robert Sheehan are all set to star in the upcoming project that will be directed by Glen Leyburn and Lisa Barros D’Sa.
We already wrote about this project, so, I’m sure you remember that this movie stars Michael Fassbender and Richard Dormer.
As we previously reported, movie will focus on Belfast music legend Terri Hooley, who founded the Good Vibrations record store on Belfast’s Great Victoria Street, from which a record label sprung, with bands like The Moondogs, The Shapes, Protex, The Outcasts and, most notably, The Undertones.
Alexander Skarsgard Joins Julianne Moore In What Maisie Knew
What Maisie Knew is the novel by Henry James, but it’s also an upcoming project that will be directed by Scott McGehee and David Siegel.
Today, we’re here to report that this could be an interesting adaptation indeed, especially now, when we know that Julianne Moore, Steve Coogan and Alexander Skarsgard are all set to star in it!
Here’s a little description of the novel: “Set mostly in England, the novel is related from the perspective of Maisie, a preadolescent whose parents were divorced when she was six years old and who spends six months of the year with each parent.
The only emotional constant in Maisie’s life is Mrs. Wix, a motherly old governess. Maisie’s parents marry other partners, but neither marriage succeeds. Her new stepparents are attracted to each other, divorce Maisie’s parents, and marry.
New Extended The Other Guys Clip
A new four-minute clip for Columbia Pictures’ new comedy The Other Guys has just been released.
Directed by Adam McKay (Anchorman, Step Brothers), the movie follows NYPD Detectives Hoitz and Gamble (Mark Wahlberg and Will Ferrell) as they attempt to rise from anonymity by tackling a case that no one else wants. Desk jockeys unaccustomed to working together, Hoitz and Gamble end up butting heads with each other — and with their precinct’s resident super cops, Detectives Highsmith and Danson (Samuel L. Jackson and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson)— along the way.
Steve Coogan Joins My Idiot Brother
Few days ago we reported that Jesse Peretz‘s upcoming comedy titled My Idiot Brother is currently filming in New York.
This project already includes pretty interesting cast: Hugh Dancy, Kathryn Hahn, Shirley Knight, Janet Montgomery, Paul Rudd, Elizabeth Banks, Zooey Deschanel, Rashida Jones, Adam Scott and Emily Mortimer.
But today, we’re here to add another name to this list, because Steve Coogan has signed on to co-star in this comedy as well…
The film, already described as “a comedy about family and the sacrifices it takes to deal with them” revolves around struggling idealist (Rudd) that stays at the homes of his three more successful and ambitious sisters (Banks, Deschanel, Mortimer) and brings truth, happiness and a sunny disposition into their lives.
First The Other Guys TV Spot
Columbia Pictures has released the first TV spot new cop comedy The Other Guys starring Will Ferrell, Mark Wahlberg, Dwayne Johnson, Samuel L. Jackson and Michael Keaton.
Set in New York City, The Other Guys follows Detective Allen Gamble (Ferrell), a forensic accountant who’s more interested in paperwork than hitting the streets, and Detective Terry Hoitz (Wahlberg), who has been stuck with Allen as his partner ever since an embarrassing public incident with his quick trigger finger. Allen and Terry idolize the city’s top cops, Danson and Manzetti (Johnson and L. Jackson), but when an opportunity arises for the Other Guys to step up, things don’t quite go as planned.
