IFC Films has released the first clip from the Michael Winterbottom‘s The Trip sequel, featuringSteve Coogan and Rob Brydon again, this time channeling Michael Caine's Alfred from The Dark Knight Rises.
The acerbic pair has added Tom Hardy‘s Bane and Christian Bale‘s Batman to their repertoire, all while they're seated at a white-tablecloth restaurant.
The two comedic actors starred in original mockumentary as somewhat exaggerated versions of themselves who set off on a foodie road trip across England and also dueling with their Caine voices.
The sequel, The Trip to Italy just premiered at Sundance and the two British comedians retrace the steps of the Romantic poets' through Italy, indulging in some great meals, which of course means more improvised dialogue, and, even more dueling Michael Caine impressions.
A follow-up to 2010s The Trip will likely hit theaters sometime in 2014.
Check out the entertaining clip which wanders from Caine to Bale to Hardy.
And here's the scene their mocking.
