HUMMINGBIRD 15 New Photos!

Hey Jason Statham fans, are you ready for a huge Hummingbird update? Sure you are! Especially now when you know that we have 15 new photos from the upcoming action thriller (upcoming means: still without an official release date, unfortunately) which revolves around Statham's character – Joey Jones, an ex-special forces soldier turned avenging angel. Angel? We'll see about that… Hummingbird comes from writer & director Steven Knight, and the whole thing is already being described as an elevated thriller about a broken man with a battered past, fighting to do what's right, even if that means breaking his own rules. As we said, the movie follows Joey Jones, who finds himself trapped in the criminal underworld, and assumes another man's identity to exact revenge…

After witnessing his unit ripped to shreds by artillery fire in Afghanistan, Joey Jones has been living on the streets of London, trying to forget his past and stay of out trouble. On the run from a ruthless gang, he breaks into the apartment of a wealthy man in Convent Garden and assumes his upper-class identity. Just as Joey is on his way to making amends with his friend and sponsor Sister Cristina, his pregnant girlfriend is found dead in the river. Now, Joey must use his connections in the Chinese mob to find the man responsible, stopping at nothing until justice is served.

Beside Jason Statham, the rest of the Hummingbird cast includes Vicky McClure, Senem Temiz, Benedict Wong and Siobhan Hewlett. Hummingbird is set to open in UK this May, but as we said at the beginning of this report – there's still nothing about an official US release date. As usual – with every new update – we'll be back.
