Franco plays Will Rodman, a scientist working on a cure for Alzheimer’s by testing on apes. When test subject Caesar (Andy Serkis) suddenly begins to mutate rapidly, the scientist takes him home to remove him from the cruel lab doctors.
For Rise, the Oscar-winning visual-effects team from Avatar and Lord of the Rings created a CGI ape.
Directed by Rupert Wyatt, the big budget prequel to the 1968 classic, “Planet of the Apes” will be released on August 5th.
