Arthur Christmas, an Aardman production for Sony Pictures Animation, added a Golden Globe Award nomination for Best Animated Feature to a growing list of accolades. The year's best reviewed animated movie now playing in wide release, Arthur Christmas also won a nomination from The Broadcast Film Critics Association for a Critics' Choice Award on Tuesday and was named Best Animated Feature by the San Diego Film Critics on Wednesday.
This latest recognition follows nominations for 6 Annie Awards, including Best Animated Feature and Best Writing, from ASIFA-Hollywood, announced on December 5. Since opening in the UK on November 11 and in North America on November 23, Arthur Christmas has earned tremendous critical acclaim, registering a solid 92% Fresh on the popular RottenTomatoes.com movie review website.
