Lost star Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje has reportedly joined the growing cast Paul W.S. Anderson's 3D action-adventure film, Pompeii.
Adewale will co-star as an enslaved gladiator who befriends the protagonist played by Game of Thrones' Kit Harington.
Pompeii also stars Emily Browning, Jared Harris, Kiefer Sutherland, Carrie-Anne Moss and Joe Pingue.
Penned by Michael Robert Johnson, the story is set in the days leading up to the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in A.D. 79 and tells the tale of an enslaved gladiator Milo (Harington) who faces a Roman senator (Sutherland) who years before murdered his family and now threatens to steal his true love Flavia (Browning).
Harris will play Lucretius, Flavia's father.
Up next for Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (who was last seen on screen in Walter Hill's Bullet to the Head) is Marvel's Thor 2: The Dark World as well as George Tillman Jr. ‘s The Inevitable Defeat of Mister and Pete.
