Adrien Brody Joins Woody Allen’s Midnight in Paris
We love this kind of casting news, especially when we already have interesting names around director Woody Allen, and his upcoming project.
So, the big news is: Adrien Brody is the latest to join the cast of Allen's Midnight in Paris! How about that? They already describe it as “the film is about a family traveling to the City of Lights for business”. Hm…Well, allow us to say, Mr. Allen, that you got yourself some famous “family”, indeed!
Let's all remember that cast: Owen Wilson, Marion Cotillard, Rachel McAdams, Kathy Bates and Michael Sheen are among those already cast in the romantic comedy, as is the first lady of France, Carla Bruni-Sarkozy.
So, we already wrote about this one, but it's basically “…the romantic comedy that features a family traveling to Paris on business and which contains a newly engaged couple who come face to face with the illusion that a life different to theirs is better. “
And, at this moment we know that Wilson's character will find himself in the enviable position of being in a love triangle with McAdams and Cotillard, while Brody's character has been described as “flashy”.
Wilson and Brody? Sounds familiar? Well, yes, since they've already worked together in The Darjeeling Limited and Fantastic Mr.Fox. Filming of Midnight in Paris is scheduled to begin this summer.
And we have no doubt that Adrien Brody is the good choice for this kind of story, because we all remember he was excellent in Roman Polanski's The Pianist (Academy liked that performance as well).
And if you're his fan, than you have a lot (well, ok, actually two good) of reasons to enjoy this summer, since he returns to theaters with sci-fi thriller Splice (bookmark June 4), and with Predators (bookmark July 9 as well). Stay tuned!
