ALL YOU NEED IS KILL: Another (Official) Look At Tom Cruise & Emily Blunt (Plus Set Photos)
Lt. Col. Bill Cage and Special Forces warrior Rita Vrataski, anyone out there famiiar with this duo? How about Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt? Yeah, now you know we’re here to have a little chat about the upcoming sci-fi thriller titled All You Need is Kill, which comes from director Doug Liman, and is already set to hit theaters in June, 2014. Liman directs the whole thing from a script written by Dante Harper, and the movie is based on Hiroshi Sakurazaka‘s novel of the same name which revolves around a soldier fighting in a war with aliens finds himself caught in a time loop of his last day in the battle.

The story unfolds in a near future in which a hive-like alien race, called Mimics, have hit the Earth in an unrelenting assault, shredding great cities to rubble and leaving millions of human casualties in their wake. No army in the world can match the speed, brutality or seeming prescience of the weaponized Mimic fighters or their telepathic Alpha commanders. But now the world’s armies have joined forces for a last stand offensive against the alien horde, with no second chances.
As we said, Tom Cruise stars as Bill, who finds himself caught in a time loop where he wakes up one day in the past after having been killed on the battlefield.
Emily Blunt, on the other hand, plays a U.S. special forces soldier, highly decorated and peerless in battle, seen as a hero by the entire world. But, in reality, she was caught in a time loop just like Cruise’s character.
The rest of All You Need Is Kill cast includes Bill Paxton, Kick Gurry, Dragomir Mrsic, Charlotte Riley, Jonas Armstrong, Franz Drameh, and the movie is set to open on June 6th, 2014.
