Good news for all Amanda Peet fans out there: lovely actress is set to star in HBO’s upcoming comedy pilot titled Togetherness, which comes from Mark and Jay Duplass.
Peet will join previously announced Melanie Lynskey and Steve Zissis who are already set to star in this single-camera project which will revolve around two couples who are living under the same roof. Sounds interesting?
As we said, Togetherness comes from the Duplass brothers, who will write, executive produce and direct the pilot which will center on a two couples living under the same roof who struggle to keep their relationships alive while pursuing their individual dreams.
Peet is set to play a female lead, character named Tina Morris, described as an energetic and beautiful woman who is fun, outgoing, mischievous and smart in both dress and brain power.
The fun starts when she relocates from Houston to Los Angeles and moves in with her sister Michelle Pierson and her husband Brett. But, she’s not the only one – because Brett’s homeless friend Alex, a struggling over-the-hill actor, is also moving in with the Piersons!
Melanie Lynskey is set to play Peet’s sister Michelle, and Steve Zissis is on board to play that Alex guy.
Stephanie Langhoff of Duplass Brothers Productions will serve as co-executive producer, and as usual – for more Togetherness updates – make sure you stay tuned!
