Few days ago we had a chance to hear that
Reese Witherspoon is in talks to join the untitled
Paul Thomas Anderson's drama based on the history of Scientology, with the working title
The Master.
Well, guess what, now we have information that
Amanda Seyfried, Emma Stone and
Deborah Ann Woll are all being considered for the role of Elizabeth, The Master and Mary-Sue's daughter.
The Master is the story of “…a charismatic intellectual (
Philip Seymour Hoffman) who hatches a faith-based organization that begins to catch on in America in 1952 called The Cause. The core dynamic centers on the relationship between The Master and Freddie Sutton, an aimless twenty-something drifter and alcoholic who eventually becomes the leader's loyal lieutenant.
As the faith begins to gain a fervent following, Freddie finds himself questioning the belief system he has embraced, and his mentor.” So, at this moment we know that Witherspoon could play The Master's younger, pregnant wife Mary Sue (notably the same name of L. Ron Hubbard's spouse).
But, what about the rest of the cast? The other primary female role is Elizabeth, daughter of Mary-Sue, and, although the role is apparently small but “pretty juicy”, Amanda Seyfried, Emma Stone and Deborah Ann Woll are all being considered for it.
Anyway, nothing is confirmed yet, since we all know that all these ladies are quite busy with their other projects.
Let us remind you that Seyfried is currently filming
The Firl With The Riding Hood, while Stone is filming
The Help.
We'll keep you updated, stay tuned!
