Anne Hathaway gives one of her very best performances as Selina Kyle in
The Dark Knight Rises and recent statements from the film's director,
Christopher Nolan, has led to speculation that the latest actress to play
Catwoman could spin-off a show of her own.
Nolan told Access Hollywood:
Anne is incredibly precise and articulate about the psychology of the character. She's really built it from the ground up, it's just a delight to watch her perform. The thing she does in those heels is not to be taken lightly. She's an incredible character and we're very excited to see her and hopefully we'll leave people wanting more.
He explained further that:
For me, Gotham and these characters, I'm done. I've told our story and I'm moving on [but] I certainly think [Anne] deserves it – she's incredible.

Actually, many fans are eager for a Catwoman movie.
On the other hand, the Oscar-nominated actress told Digital Spy when asked about Nolan's comments above:
I'm interested if he's interested. I think it would be lovely to see more of her but only if it's with the right people. She lives in this Gotham City and so it would have to be established by the people who have made this Gotham City. For me, at least.
Therefore, Hathaway is very interested in reprising her role as Catwoman after Nolan tipped her for a spin-off movie.
Time will tell how effective it is. What are your thoughts on a Catwoman spinoff?
