If anyone asks – this TV spot for Cloud Atlas is my favourite one! Simply because we finally have a much better look at the leading stars – Tom Hanks and Halle Berry. Not that this 1-minute preview of the whole thing is something completely different than what we’ve seen the last time, but I think that now I finally understand all that past-present-future connection.
You already know, but I will still remind you that Cloud Atlas explores how the actions and consequences of individual lives impact one another throughout the past, the present and the future.
Tom Tykwer, Andy Wachowski and Lana Wachowski are behind this supernatural thriller which is obviously one hell of a combination of action, mystery and romance.
And all that will lead us through the story where one soul is shaped from a killer into a hero and a single act of kindness ripples across centuries to inspire a revolution in the distant future.
The rest of the cast includes Jim Broadbent, Hugo Weaving, Jim Sturgess, Doona Bae, Ben Whishaw, James D’Arcy, Xun Zhou, Keith David, David Gyasi, Susan Sarandon and Hugh Grant.
Cloud Atlas opens on October 26th, 2012.
