Here's a little casting update guys! And don't worry – it's an official thing.
Aubrey Plaza is about to join
Shia LeBeouf for the upcoming
Fredrik Bond‘s movie
The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman.
I'm sure you already remember us talking about the whole thing, so you're familiar that the cast list also includes
Evan Rachel Wood, Mads Mikkelsen, Rupert Grint, Melissa Leo and
Til Schweiger.
The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman comes from writer
Matt Drake, and follows a guy named Charlie Countryman (LaBeouf) who falls in love with the girl who will probably get him killed. The thing is that Gabi (played by Rachel Wood) is already involved with Nigel (Mikkelsen), an insanely violent crime boss with a gang of thugs at his disposal. So, our dear Charlie has a real badass enemy, huh?
The rest of the plot goes like this: “Armed with little more than his wit and naïve charm, Charlie endures one bruising beat down after another to woo Gabi and keep her out of harm's way. Finally his exploits of blind valor create such a mess that he's left with only one way out; to save the girl of his dreams, must Charlie Countryman die?”
But, back to Plaza, please!
At this moment there are still no details about her role, but in an interview with Latino Review she revealed that she “..wants to show her other acting abilities other than a sarcastic or depressed girl with a deadpan stare.”
Not bad at all, don't you think?
Anyway, let us know what you think about this project, and stay tuned for more info!
