This weekend in London, British Academy of Film and Television Awards, the U.K. equivalent to the Oscars held their the BAFTA Awards, honoring the finest in film and television from 2012.

Ever since in early January when Ben Affleck got left out of the directing field on Oscar nominations, he and Argo won yet another sweet victory: three of the prestigious awards, including Best Film, Best Editing and Best Director.

Most of the other wins were split between Tom Hooper and Quentin Tarantino‘s film: Les Miserables won four trophies including Best Supporting Actress for Anne Hathaway, while Django Unchained won two BAFTAs, including Original Screenplay and Supporting Actor Christoph Waltz.

Daniel Day-Lewis won the Best Leading Actor award for Lincoln and Emmanuelle Riva won Leading Actress for French film Amour, besting Helen Mirren, Jennifer Lawrence, Jessica Chastain and Marion Cotillard.
