Billy Zane, the enigmatic actor known for his memorable roles in Dead Calm and Titanic, is set to join the cast of the supernatural thriller The Evilry. This indie project, helmed by writer-director Alexander Garcia, is rapidly gaining attention for its compelling cast and cryptic storyline. Zane's addition further heightens anticipation, though his specific role remains under wraps. The film promises a captivating supernatural tale that is sure to intrigue fans of the genre.

The Evilry already boasts a diverse cast, with Final Destination: Bloodlines star Brec Bassinger leading the ensemble. She will be joined by Elena Kampouris (Children of the Corn), Dylan Walsh (Superman & Lois), and Teri Polo from the Meet the Parents franchise. Other cast members include Marissa Reyes, Evan Ross, and Tony Pierce. Principal photography is slated to begin next month in Louisiana, giving fans hope that more details about the plot will emerge soon.

As of now, plot specifics are minimal. We do know that Elena Kampouris's character harbors a dark secret, and her visit to family seems to be the catalyst for the supernatural chaos that ensues. Given Garcia's track record of working on unique and visually ambitious projects, The Evilry is set to be a fascinating mix of mystery and horror.

Behind the scenes, Garcia is producing under his Multi-Valence Productions banner, with a solid team of producers backing him, including Joanna Quezada and Mike Nease. Garcia is juggling several upcoming projects, from skateboarding romance Crushed It! to a fantasy titled Skate God.

Meanwhile, Zane's fans are still eagerly awaiting the release of Waltzing with Brando, in which Zane portrays the legendary Marlon Brando. After five years of development, this biographical film about Brando's transformation in the late '60s is finally nearing completion.

With such an impressive cast and a director poised for breakout success, The Evilry is shaping up to be an indie horror flick worth watching out for in the coming year.
