Biography Of Ernest Hemingway To Be Turned Into A Movie

Ernest HemmingwayA.E. Hotchner’s best-selling biography “Papa Hemingway: A Personal Memoir” from 1966 has been secured for a movie adaptation by The Gotham Group and producer Kevin Fortuna. The book focuses on last fourteen years of Ernest Hemingway‘s life. “King of the Hill” is Aaron Edward Hotchner’s memoir about growing up in St. Louis during the Great Depression. It was made into a movie in 1993 by Steven Soderbergh who directed and wrote the screenplay. Hemingway’s “The Old Man and the Sea” was published in 1952. It earned him the Pulitzer Prize in 1953. The next year he was awarded with the Nobel Prize in Literature. Hemingway was seriously injured on a safari and he was unable to travel to Stockholm to accept his Nobel Prize. Hemingway attempted suicide in the spring of 1961. He died at his home in Ketchum, Idaho in the summer 1961, the result of a self-inflicted shotgun wound to the head. “It is rare that we have such intimate, truthful knowledge about the life and, ultimately, demise of a true American icon,” Goldsmith-Vein said about the project. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Ellen Goldsmith-Vein and Peter McHugh will co-produce the film. The film does not have a set start date at this time. Ernest Hemingway Ernest Hemingway
