Unwilling to live by the imposing Reverend Cobbs' rules, a frustrated Langston is determined to return home to his mother, Naima. Written and directed by Kasi Lemmons, the movie stars Jennifer Hudson as a single mother named Naima who sends her teen son Langston (played by Jacob Latimore) to spend the Christmas holiday with his estranged relatives in New York City.
