Brad Pitt, Jonah Hill, Will Ferrell Set For “Oobermind”

Oobermind Earlier it’s been reported that Robert Downey Jr. will voice the role of a supervillain in DreamWorks Animation’s “Oobermind,” but the news is that Will Ferrell has been set to replace Downey, who has left the production due to scheduling conflicts. Except that, DreamWorks find new superheroes for the comedy – Brad Pitt and Jonah Hill. So, Ferrell, Pitt and Hill join Tina Fey, already onboard to play the reporter tasked with keeping track of the city’s confusing superhero situation. Plot Summary: When super villain Oobermind (Ferrell) defeats his archrival Metro Man (Pitt), the world should be his oyster. But instead, Oobermind falls into total despair. It turns out that life without a rival is life without a point for him. So, he creates a new superhero rival, Titan (Hill). Unfortunately, the new hero wants to be a super villain, too. Caught in the middle, star reporter Roxanne Ritchi (Fey) asks the tough questions: Who can we turn to? Who has what it takes to stand up to this menace? Who will defend the innocent? Oobermind! That’s who. The movie is being directed by Tom McGrath (“Madagascar,” “Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa“) from the script by Alan Schoolcraft and Brent Simons and produced by Lara Breay and Denise Nolan Cascino. “Oobermind” is set for release sometime in 2010 in 3D as well as DreamWorks’ “Shrek Forever After” and “How to Train Your Dragon.”
