Jason Sudeikis (Horrible Bosses) and
Rose Byrne (Bridesmaids) will star in indie romantic comedy
Tumbledown, which
Sean Mewshaw is directing from an original screenplay by
Desi Van Til.
The supporting cast is rounded out by
Michael McKean (This is Spinal Tap),
Beau Bridges (The Descendants),
Olivia Munn (TV series ‘The Newsroom'),
Blythe Danner (Little Fockers) and
Joe Manganiello (True Blood).
In the feature debuts of Mewshaw and Van Ti, a young widow (Byrne) falls for a brash New York writer (Sudeikis) comes to her hometown in rural Maine to investigate the death of her husband, a folk-music hero.
Production is set to begin production in October in Vancouver.
Mewshaw and Van Ti previously collaborated on the short film
Last Night based on a James Salter story, which starred Frances McDormand and premiered at the Venice Film Festival. Van Til is currently writing a comedy script
Married Off for Warner Bros. based on an original pitch.
Tumbledown could be coming to a theater near you in 2014.

Sudeikis is well known from ‘
Saturday Night Live' and stars opposite Jennifer Aniston in the upcoming
