Cannes 2012: PARADIES: LIEBE by Ulrich Seidl Clips
Ulrich Seidl brings a completely new drama to Cannes this year. And he sure has some good chances to win Palme d'Or, because his Paradies: Liebe is one of the titles that will compete for a Golden Palm statue at 65th Cannes Film Festival.
We have three new clips from the whole thing – and trust me, this looks fantastic, so don't miss it!
Seidl's film is the first in his “PARADISE – Trilogy” about three women, three vacations and three stories of the longing to find happiness today.
The first woman travels to Kenya as a sex tourist, but as you'll see from these clips – it's not (all) about sex. Dialogues are probably the best part of Paradies: Liebe story.
On Kenya's beaches they are known as “sugar mamas”: European women who seek out African boys selling love to earn a living. Teresa, a 50-year-old Austrian woman, travels to this vacation paradise.
PARADISE: Love tells of older women and young men, of Europe and Africa, and of the exploited, who end up exploiting others.
Seidl co-wrote the script together with Veronika Franz, and Paradies: Liebe has some great cast which includes Maria Hofstätter, Margarete Tiesel, Inge Maux, Peter Kazungu, Gabriel Mwarua and Carlos Mkutano.
